Antalya is the fifth largest city in Turkey and the capital of Antalya Province. It is the capital of the fertile coastal plain and has been called Pamphylia since ancient times. Today the area is also known as the Turkish Riviera because of the long sandy beaches. The largest part of the old town of Antalya lies on the cliffs.
