Kayaköy, located near Fethiye in Turkey, is an abandoned town often referred to as a "ghost town." Originally known as Levissi, Kayaköy was once a thriving community with a mixed population of Greeks and Turks. After the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923, the city was abandoned and has stood empty ever since. Today the decaying buildings and churches are silent witnesses to a turbulent past.
